Community Works, Mist Harlem in partnership with the Harlem Arts Alliance present: From Downtown to Uptown: Reflections on the Cultural History of Harlem.
Join us for an evening of dialogue moderated by distinguished journalist Lee Daniels. With historians, educators and artists exploring the migration and the creation of Harlem as a cultural beacon. Participating panelists include noted artists: Michael Cummings & Ozier Muhammad. The program will feature the short film “Black New Yorkers” by noted filmmaker Jamal Joseph.
A public program of Community Works’ harlem is… A State of Mind exhibition featuring the work of fourteen artists from the community. Tour the exhibition and meet the artist and curator at this special event.
